The breathtaking red rock landscape of southwestern Utah is world-renowned for its hiking and mountain biking. You’ll start in Salt Lake City, where you’ll relax into the big city spas and stroll through the incredible public gardens. From there it's onto southwestern Utah's red rock country — with an overnight on the way down for some mineral hot springs. Once in Southern Utah, you'll pass the next few days enjoying a mix of wellness activities, low-key self-care, culinary adventures, outdoor recreation and natural beauty.
Much of this trip is anchored in the incredible Zion National Park region. From your St. George basecamp, you’ll soak up the majesty of Snow Canyon State Park and an award-winning spa.You'll end your trip in Kanab, a wild-west town full of regional surprises. Fall in love with the Coral Pink Sand Dunes, enjoy an authentic horseback riding adventure, then complete the day at an award-winning restaurant that’s putting Kanab on the map. After this week is up, you’ll feel thoroughly relaxed and inspired by your world-class adventures in an unforgettable red rock desert.

Travel tip: If you’re doing a round-trip adventure, try driving one way on I-15, then head home on Historic Highway 89. If you’re flying, you can choose to fly out of Las Vegas or Salt Lake City airports to reduce your driving time.

Pleasant Salt Lake City offers just about any kind of adventure you could imagine, set against the backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains. Enjoy a morning meditative stroll through the stunning Red Butte Garden, then head to a local spa for a unique wellness experience. Top it all off with a healthy lunch at a local cafe. Head south to overnight in a tiny town with a big secret: mineral hot springs!

Soak in deep at The Kura Door, a holistic Japanese spa offering Asian-inspired baths, steam sessions, massages and skin care treatments. Once you’re thoroughly relaxed, head to the Oasis Cafe to lounge on the patio over food that will make you glow inside too. Spend the night in the tiny town of Monroe at either The Monroe Inn or at Mystic Hot Springs. Both places offer access to the local awe-inspiring springs that bubble up out of the red dirt landscape. And don’t worry, the water is plenty warm and perfectly relaxing.

Cedar City is the perfect location for easy access to both stunning red canyons and alpine mountain vistas. Start the day off with a local yoga session and coffee, then head up the mountain to Brian Head for cooler temperatures and a mountain view spa experience. Wrap up the day with a perfect farm-to-table dinner under a beautiful summer sunset (check calendar for events) or some authentic French cuisine in downtown Cedar City.

Gaze up at massive stone cliffs while practicing yoga and enjoying a quiet hike through a shallow river in sandstone slot canyons. This is all possible when you visit Springdale, the town located right at the entrance to Zion National Park.

Several hikes are pretty low-key, allowing you to contentedly wander the landscape admiring the resilient plants and animals that inhabit the landscape. Prepare to be amazed and inspired.
Satisfy your inner contemplative artist at the arts village of Kayenta. Enjoy a leisurely bite to eat at the artsy Xetava Gardens Cafe, then wander through the Coyote Gulch Arts Village admiring art in galleries or even jump in to create some art yourself. Don’t forget to visit the Desert Rose Labyrinth while you’re there!

If you’ve always wanted to sink your feet into the silky texture of sand dunes, this is your chance to do just that. Spend the morning feeling like you’ve stepped into another universe with a side of meditative quiet. Then come back down to Earth on the back of a horse, riding through the stunning high desert landscape.
